On July 2β3, 2025, the S4MILE β Solid-state battery For Mile consortium gathered in Izmir, Turkey, for its 2nd General Assembly, hosted by our partner IZTECH (Izmir Institute of Technology).
The two-day meeting provided an important opportunity to review the project’s progress, strengthen collaboration among partners, and plan the next steps in its development.
During the first day, discussions focused on WPs 1 to 4, followed by interactive workshops on risk management and data management. The sessions fostered open exchange and alignment across technical and coordination teams.
On the second day, attention turned to WPs 5 to 9. Participants also took part in hands-on workshops dedicated to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and materials selection, reinforcing the projectβs focus on measurable impact and technical excellence.
The meeting concluded with a guided tour of the Center for Materials Research at the Integrated Research Centers of IZTECH, where partners had the chance to explore cutting-edge facilities and ongoing research activities aligned with S4MILEβs objectives.
We thank all partners for their active participation and commitment. The General Assembly was a clear demonstration of the consortium’s shared ambition to advance next-generation battery technologies for a greener, more efficient future.
